Seeking Bridgeport Memories (A Special Thank you to Dr. Dan Selz for some priceless Bridgeport Memories)
The Main Street Promotions Committee is continuing their effort to educate the public about Bridgeport’s lovely downtown. We will stop at nothing to reel people in, and nostalgia is merely the next tactic on our list.
The Bridgeport Index generously lets the City run a Main Street article each week, and we’d like to use that space to share with our residents what downtown used to be and what it can be again.
To do that, we need your help. We need your memories of when downtown was the place to be in Bridgeport. I’m happy to accept those memories via e-mail, hand-written note, or phone. Essentially we just want to capture your memories in the hope it will pique interest in downtown once again.
If you have memories you would like to share, please contact Ashley Smalley at asmalley@cityofbridgeport.net, 940-683-3417, or Bridgeport City Hall.
